An agricultural company with foreign investment, the main activity of which is cultivation, crop production, livestock breeding and storage, as well as a production enterprise (food), announces a competition to fill the vacant position of Regional Director, Zhytomyr region.

Main functional responsibilities:

• Ensuring the full cycle of field work: from preparation and sowing to assembly, respectively, and approved crop rotation and technologies;
• Organization of uninterrupted operation of elevators for acceptance, processing, storage and shipment of both own and customer-supplied grain;
• Organization of uninterrupted operation of the sugar factory: from transporting beets from the field to unloading finished products from the warehouse in accordance with the terms of the concluded contracts;
• Monitoring the work of the livestock sector;
• Ensuring the safety and searching for ways to expand the land bank;
• Organizing the process of communication with authorities and local self-government in order to ensure sustainable economic activity in the region;
• Organization of settlement of disputes with competitors claiming the company’s land bank;
• Organizing and monitoring the performance of subordinates;
• Implementation of business strategy, corporate values and work standards adopted by the management company;
• Reporting to the general director of the management company.

Requirements for candidates:

• Higher education in agriculture;
• Experience as a regional director of an agricultural company/branch/cluster for at least 5 years;
• Experience in crop production (cereals, oilseeds) with volumes of 10 thousand hectares or more, knowledge of advanced technologies in crop production (precision farming, modern production control technologies, etc.);
• Experience in managing an elevator or at least working in a company where the assets included, incl. elevators;
• Experience in a processing plant will be an advantage (sugar factory, oil extraction plant, feed mill, poultry farm, etc.);
• Experience in organizing the operational activities of an agricultural company, confirmed by high production / financial results;
• Experience in acquiring land or successful cases of maintaining a land bank, understanding the specifics of the land market;
• Understanding the cultural component of working in rural areas;
• Managerial skills and leadership: change management, strategic thinking, negotiation skills, developed political intelligence;
• Responsibility, proactivity, economic approach to work, focus on results, willingness to make decisions and bear responsibility for them.
