A rapidly growing Ukrainian retail chain, actively expanding its network and opening new stores, is looking for an experienced Purchasing Director, Odesa.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Procurement, Category Management, and Inventory Management departments;
• Develop and execute the company’s procurement strategy;
• Build and optimize the product category tree;
• Develop category management and assortment strategies;
• Define pricing positioning and manage the assortment matrix;
• Oversee inventory management and develop automated replenishment systems;
• Expand the import business and diversify the supplier base internationally;
• Participate in the development of Private Label products;
• Lead and develop a team of Category Managers, Import Managers, and Inventory Specialists;
• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Logistics, Finance, and other business functions.

Candidate Requirements:

• Higher education degree;
• Proven leadership experience in Procurement or Category Management;
• Strong expertise in category management principles;
• Hands-on experience in building and managing product category trees;
• Solid understanding of store clustering, assortment planning, and pricing strategies;
• Practical experience in inventory management;
• Experience in import procurement and international sourcing;
• Strong supplier negotiation skills;
• Proven people management experience;
• Advanced user of 1C ERP and Microsoft Excel;
• Willingness to travel and relocate to Odesa on a permanent basis.
