The international trade and production company, which has 3 plants in Ukraine and is one of the leaders in FMCG, announces a competition for the vacant position of Purchasing Director, Kyiv.

Functional duties:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. Ensure strategies are effectively executed to meet operational needs and budget requirements;
• Category Management: Design and implement category management strategies to optimize spending, improve supplier relationships, and achieve cost efficiencies across various product categories.;
• Oversee the procurement aspects of capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, ensuring that all necessary materials and services are procured efficiently and within budget;
• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers. Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best terms and conditions.
• Cost Management: Develop and manage the procurement budget. Formulate budget plans, analyse & monitor expenditures, and ensure procurement activities remain within the allocated budget. Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement strategies to achieve them;
• Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions, price volatility, and quality issues;
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance;
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, sales, finance, logistics, etc to ensure seamless operations, effective communication & reliable service to the internal customers;
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about market trends, pricing, and supply availability. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements for candidates:

• Higher education (bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or related field);
• At least 10 years of experience in procurement, preferably 5 years in a managerial position in the dairy or food industry;
• Master’s degree or relevant professional certification (eg CPM, CPSM) will be an advantage;
• Intermediate English level and higher;
• Willingness to work in the office in Kyiv.

• Analytical thinking;
• Perfect command of software and procurement systems;
• Deep understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
