Main functional duties:

• Conduct thorough research on new materials, fabrics, and technologies to enhance the performance, comfort, and durability of our products;
• Identify and collaborate with design teams to translate concept sketches and ideas into viable product designs, considering functionality, aesthetics, and target market preferences;
• Source and liaise with suppliers to secure the necessary materials and components for product development;
• Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify manufacturers who can meet our quality standards, production capacity, and cost requirements;
• Negotiate contracts and pricing, and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with our ethical and sustainability standards;
• Build and maintain strong relationships with our stakeholders to foster long-term collaborations and achieve consistent delivery of superior-quality garments;
• Manage the product development timeline, ensuring timely execution of key milestones from initial prototyping to final production;
• Oversee fit sessions and provide detailed feedback to design and production teams for product refinement;
• Perform quality assurance checks on samples and finished products, ensuring they meet our standards for fit, construction, and performance;
• Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor products, and consumer demands to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Merchandising, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus;
• Proven 4-7 years’ experience in apparel product development, preferably in the shapewear, underwear or sportswear industry;
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and manufacturing processes;
• Proficient in using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and pattern-making  software;
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams  and external partners;
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting, while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines;
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and technologies related to shapewear, underwear or sportswear;
• Passion for inclusivity, sustainability and empowering individuals through clothing.
