Commercial Director, Barcelona

An agro company engaged in the export/import of cereals is interested in finding a top manager for the vacant position of Commercial Director, Barcelona (Spain).

Main functional responsibilities:

  • Participation in the development and implementation of the company’s strategy;
  • Responsibility and management of various types of trading activities (including logistics, economic research);
  • Responsibility for marketing commodities to selected destinations in the region, supporting current and growing new customer base;
  • Assessment and management of various risks and implementation in the territory;
  • Monitoring and optimization of export logistics for the region;
  • Responsibility for declared trading positions;
  • Contribute to the definition, development and implementation of growth strategies in the region in coordination with the rest of the team;
  • Participation in the formation of the company’s marketing policy;
  • Representing the interests of the company at various events and in front of external contact audiences;
  • Supervising individual projects: CRM, multimodal logistics, entering new markets;
  • Reporting to the founders of the company.

Requirements for applicants:

  • Higher education;
  • English – upper intermediate, Spanish – intermediate (desirable);
  • Knowledge of Ukrainian (Russian) is important;
  • Experience in the position of Sales Director, Commercial Director of 3 years or more;
  • Knowledge of the export market of grain and oilseeds;
  • Successful sales experience;
  • Management competencies and proven experience in managing successful trading departments;
  • Successful development of new markets from “0”;
  • Knowledge and successful risk management in export sales of agricultural companies;
  • Knowledge of multimodal logistics;
  • Willingness and absence of restrictions on business trips;
  • Charisma, leadership qualities, teamwork, stress resistance, work to achieve results and the ability not to stop there.
