A leading grocery supermarket chain is looking for a new team member for the position of Category Manager / Non-Food Buyer, Kyiv.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing and managing the assortment matrix according to the needs of target customer groups and store formats: household chemicals, home goods, pet food, seasonal products;
• Supplier portfolio optimization;
• Monitoring and analyzing global and seasonal category trends;
• Supplier management and negotiations;
• Competitor analysis, including assortment, pricing policies, and category management approaches;
• Performance analysis: ABC analysis, inventory turnover, slow-moving stock analysis;
• Organizing and coordinating workflow processes;
• Participation in period planning and target setting;
• Ability to clearly assign tasks and effectively control their execution;
• Ability to process large volumes of information;
• Ability to achieve goals within set deadlines;
• Ability to independently learn and develop new knowledge and skills;
• Structuring and systematizing information effectively;
• Development of category strategies;
• Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, with 2 assistants in direct subordination.

Requirements:

• Higher education degree;
• At least 2 years of overall experience in the non-food category;
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Non-Food Category Manager (household chemicals and/or seasonal products);
• Understanding of pricing principles;
• Knowledge of computer programs and modern analytical methods;
• Experience in chain retail; B2C experience will be considered an advantage;
• Readiness for business trips to Kharkiv.
